Adam Dannheisser received his BFA in Musical Theater from The Boston Conservatory of Music and his Master’s Degree from the prestigious NYU Graduate Acting Program. Because of the breadth of his training, from Shakespeare to Sondheim, Adam’s Broadway career has taken him to many corners of the theater, with roles in multiple Tony-nominated and Tony-winning shows — including Beetlejuice Oslo, The Tempest, Twelfth Night, Proof, The Coast of Utopia, Fiddler on the Roof, Cymbeline, and Rock of Ages (in which he starred and served as Resident Director).  Over his 30-year career, Adam has found nothing more fulfilling than coaching, directing, and mentoring young actors who are eager to make their own mark on the stage by providing them with focus, confidence, and grounded simplicity. Honesty does not require muscle.  It requires ease and openness—an availability to the moment, both physically and emotionally. The primary focus of these one-on-one online or in-person sessions is to help prepare young actors for undergraduate and graduate-level auditions. Bring Adam the material that most inspires you (be it monologues and/or songs), and together you will work to hone and shape a powerful representation of your talent.  In addition, thanks to years of putting himself on tape for hundreds of TV and film auditions, Adam can also provide insight into the dos and don’ts of self-taping to guarantee a powerful, professional presentation. Because he feels so strongly about the necessity of training, college prep is Adam’s main focus. However, actors pursuing other paths are more than welcome. There are many roads that lead to the same destination, and Adam can attest to this. His journey through his career thus far has been diverse, fruitful, and fascinating.
